Novello, Monforte, Monchiero and the abandoned Railway
Starting from Novello The e-bike route starts in Novello and descends along the beautiful Ravera road to Monforte d'Alba. The Ravera is my favourite road, a long descent that shows the hills of the Langhe and allows you to see Monforte, Barolo and Novello in the foreground and many other castles and villages in the background. You arrive in the centre of Monforte d'Alba The centre of Monforte is always a pleasant surprise. On the square on the floor you will find many small bars where you can have an aperitif or an ice cream, but I recommend you climb up to the top of the old town to enjoy the view, see the amphitheatre (home of Monforte Jazz) and if you want to pop over to the giant bench. Pass through the hamlet of San Sebastiano From Monforte take the road towards Dogliani. Don't miss a stop at the Briacca, a nice winery that also organises picnics and tastings. The highlight of the route, however, is the road along the coast that takes you to the hamlet of San Sebastiano (full of fantastic views, old farmsteads, small churches, in short the Langa as it once was) and on to Monchiero. The old Bra Ceva railway When you reach Monchiero close your eyes for 2 minutes (the view is horrible, you are in the midst of factories), but once you have crossed the railway bridge you can enter the old Bra-Ceva railway track, recently cleared of brambles and which allows you to avoid the ugly provincial road to reach the Bivio per Novello. If you want to know more about bra-ceva, there is an interesting site you can explore [https://www.ferrovieabbandonate.it/linea_dismessa.php?id=9]. The ascent to Novello via Bricco Neri The ascent to Novello is demanding, but not busy. We take you via the Bricco Neri road, which is a minor road that takes you to the village from a different perspective and without encountering too many cars.

At the source of the Po river by ebike
With this ebike route you can reach the source of Italy's longest river, the Po, where its water gushes out crystal clear. The route takes you up the Po valley along the provincial road and then turns off and continues halfway up a secondary road that connects a series of small hamlets nestling in the woods. There you can also take the opportunity to buy typical products and refresh yourself during the ascent. The route then continues towards Crissolo and from there, along the road opened in the summer months, you will reach Pian della Regina and Pian del Re. To reach the source of the Po, it is necessary to tackle an ascent with not a small difference in altitude. The advantage is that the return will be all downhill, but we can assure you that it is definitely worth it. Talking about what to see along this route would in any case be reductive, you will reach the heart of the Monviso Regional Park, recognised by UNESCO as a Biosphere Reserve. Along the 20 km that separate Paesana from Pian del Re you will see how the vegetation changes from dense chestnut and beech forests to alpine grassland. The Pian del Re is one of the unmissable stops during a visit to the Saluzzo area, in search of refreshment from the summer heat in an enchanting place.

Variant 4 - from Ambria to Selvino
Variant from the main route to the Selvino plateau at an altitude of 900 metres. Here one can find an oasis of tranquillity full of initiatives especially for families, with an adventure park and a minimarcia, which is attended by thousands of people every year. The Sanctuary of the Madonna del Perello is worth a visit. It stands on the site where the Madonna is said to have appeared in 1413 to a farmer who found himself in the middle of a storm while making hay for his cattle on the slopes of Mount Perello.

GTL 7 Lazio from Frosinone to Zagarolo
THE ITINERARY OF THE POPES AND THE OLD ROME FIUGGI RAILWAY We are on one of the most demanding stages of the entire GTL, 80 km for about 1200 m of elevation gain. However, the route offers the possibility of being further fragmented, since several railway stations are located along the route and you can therefore use the bike transport service by train to shorten the journey. On the other hand, this stage offers a huge historical and cultural heritage, as well as sections of the existing cycle path, the route of the former Rome-Fiuggi railway.Starting from Frosinone, we continue to follow the route of the Eurovelo 5 Romea/Francigena, and we reach the village of Ferentino; from here begins the first of the climbs that characterize the course of the GTL7: the first objective is the village of Fumone, which overlooks the Ernici Mountains, on the top of which stands the imposing Castle owned by the Caetani family, the same as Boniface VIII: here Celestine V was imprisoned and spent his last days, the one who out of cowardice made the great refusal according to Dante; A gloomy and sinister place, it has originated various legends of ghosts over the centuries. From here we continue to the quiet Lake Canterno, until we go up towards Fiuggi, a well-known spa, where we can follow the route of the old railway that until a few decades ago led to Rome: today it is a marked cycle path that passes one after the other the stations of the past, sheltered from the traffic of the Via Prenestina. With a detour it is worth reaching Anagni, another delightful papal village rich in architecture and art.Acuto, Piglio, Serrano, and the route reserved for bicycles is interrupted: avoiding the Prenestina, we continue on Eurovelo 5 which leads us to other wonderful medieval towns such as Gimignano, Genazzano and Cave, ancient papal fiefdoms and a pilgrimage destination for writers such as Gregorovius, and above all Palestrina, whose Temple of Fortuna Primigenia stands out as one of the major pagan sanctuaries of Roman times. From this area there are also many beautiful roads towards the Prenestini Mountains, to deviate from the course of the GTL and challenge the climbs a bit.We hen end the route in Zagarolo, where there is another railway junction for Rome

The itinerary continues on the Sacca degli Scardovari famous for the breeding of mussels, in particular the mussel, along the sacca to the mouth of the Po della Donzella or Gnocca from where you go up the river and cross it in Santa Giulia on the typical Ponte di Barche and then head towards the other Ponte di Barche that of Gorino which crosses the Po di Goro, you arrive in Gorino overlooking the Sacca di Goro famous for clam farming. Return to the starting point by returning to cross the two bridges, skirting the Po di Gnocca and crossing the countryside.
Sinapsi: connection between the ebike rental points in Irpinia
This path allows you to move from one ebike rental point to another, so that you have at your disposal not only the routes and GPS tracks starting from Chiusano San Domenico, but also those with origin at the Avellino cycle station in Contrada San Lorenzo, Atripalda. This route can be cycled either one way or the other, depending on where you are. The GPS track is a little over 16 km long and takes about 2 hours to cover if it is travelled from Atripalda to Chiusano San Domenico; it will take about 1 hour if it is travelled downhill, i.e. from Chiusano San Domenico to Atripalda. The road does not present any type of difficulty, so it can be tackled with all types of e-bike available for hire: city, trekking and full suspension e-MTB. By following the GPS track, you will avoid passing along the busier Strada Statale 7, also known as Vecchia Ofantina, preferring an itinerary that is more pleasant to follow and with less risk. The following description was created assuming departure from the Atripalda rental point, at the Avellino cycle station. If, on the other hand, you depart from the Chiusano San Domenico hire point, all the information remains valid, inverting - naturally - their nature. Leaving the Ciclostazione Avellino behind you, you only need to pedal your e-bike for 1 km to leave the bustling traffic of the city of Atripalda and take the SP5 after 200 metres uphill. For almost 4 km you can enjoy the beauty of pedalling on a road that is not at all difficult, made up of pleasant ups and downs with small, short climbs followed by short downhill stretches. Although it has been replaced by the faster and more convenient motorway link, this road connects Atripalda and Serino and, therefore, may be affected by vehicular traffic: keep to the right in single file and pay attention. After 3.7 km the navigator will ask you to turn left onto SP17. Here begins a 2 km climb, with no steep slopes. At the end of the climb, you will enjoy a beautiful view of the Sabato valley and some magnificent vineyards. It is here, from these rows of vines, that some of Irpinia's finest wines are obtained, especially Fiano di Avellino. If you feel like it and if you have time, explore the surroundings in search of the most beautiful landscapes. A beautiful descent will take you first to Sorbo Serpico and then to Salza Irpina, where you will have to face a short but steep climb to exit the town and turn right. For 500 metres you will ride on the SS7, with the village of Salza Irpina on your right, before turning left onto a secondary road with zero traffic. Relax and enjoy the pleasant climb (2 km) on your pedal-assisted bike. You will cross a dense and lush forest of beech and chestnut trees while maintaining a steady and decidedly rideable gradient. When you pass under an overpass and the forest gives way to a splendid panorama, it means that the climb is almost over. On your left you will have a wide view of Irpinia, with the Partenio Park, Montevergine and many small villages; on your left vineyards, countryside and the beauty of Monte Tuoro. At the end of the road, turn right to join the SP39, which will take you to Chiusano San Domenico. When you come to a nice view (unfortunately transennined due to a landslide when this information sheet was written), it will mean you are entering the village. Go straight on, past Borgo Ripa (the old historic centre of Chiusano San Domenico, home of the journalist Carlo Nazzaro), the town square) and you have arrived. On the right, you will notice the orange sign of Reveló, the bike and rental point in Chiusano San Domenico of Ciclostazione Avellino.

GTL 10 Lazio from Arsoli to Rieti
LAKE TURANO Once on the border with Abruzzo, the GTL route turns north and heads to Sabina, towards the fourth provincial capital of the region: after Rome, Latina and Frosinone, this stage takes us to Rieti, the "geographical center of Italy". To do so, he chooses the gentler and less harsh route through the mountains, continuing to follow the Way of St. Benedict as already happened in stage 6. We climb in altitude passing through villages set in the green of the Apennine woods, Riofreddo, Vallinfreda, Orvinio, and then enter the Turano valley, where the lake of the same name was formed in 1939, following the construction of a huge dam. In fact, the track follows a flat pace and even slightly downhill as a whole, with only two small uphill climbs, offering the pleasure of pedaling through the mountains without pedaling too much. This valley is not served by train or highways, and has remained relatively quiet and safe from the large tourist flows. The river we skirt, also called Turano, gradually swells until it becomes a fjord, the southern branch of the lake: its contours are often foggy, humid and disturbing. We thus arrive at the two villages of Castel di Tora and Colle di Tora, which look at each other from the two shores of the lake, and the ruins of the castle of Antuni, piled up on a small island near the bridge that joins the two sides. After Colle di Tora there are the only slopes to face to get to the Turano dam: a few hairpin bends in the woods, and we are at the gigantic concrete wall that holds back the course of the river. It is worth a small detour to the villages of Rocca Sinibalda, where the impressive Sforza Cesarini Castle stands, originally from the eleventh century, and Posticciola, an original Roman outpost and transhumance passage. From here on it is all downhill: we lose the altitude gained on a road snubbed by traffic, to easily cover the last flat kilometers towards the Sabine capital.

Ring 3: from Nardò to Gallipoli
You pedal between "pajare" and dry stone walls, peasant architectures that have defined the very identity of the Salento countryside, protecting vegetable gardens and olive trees. The inland on the hills, just a little above sea level, gives way to Gallipoli for a long ride along the seaside to Torre dell'Alto, a stage for magical sunsets on the cliff between the green of Porto Selvaggio Park and the blue of the Ionian Sea. The starting point of this route is Nardò. Pedaling, you pass through the municipalities of: Galatone, Sannicola, Chiesanuova, Alezio, Gallipoli, Rivabella, Lido Conchiglie, Santa Maria al Bagno, Santa Caterina di Nardò, Cenate. The route mainly develops on asphalt roads (about 90%) with low traffic; in the summer months of July and August, the coastal road is instead characterized by heavy traffic. What are 'pajare'? Pajare are ancient rural buildings typical of the Apulia region. These structures, dating back to prehistoric times and used until the 19th century, represent a unique example of traditional rural architecture. Pajare are entirely built in dry stone, without the use of mortar, and have a conical or trullo-shaped structure, with a dome roof resembling a beehive. This particular shape was designed to ensure better resistance to the weather and greater durability over time. Originally used as temporary shelters for farmers during working hours in the fields, pajare have often been restored and transformed into accommodations for tourists who want to experience a unique stay immersed in nature and the history of Apulia.
